Kyle Arpke is a photographer and filmmaker living in Milwaukee, WI. While Kyle will never pass up an opportunity to travel to amazing places, he’s also passionate about getting people to understand and appreciate the wildlife and wild places within the urban communities he frequents. With a penchant for storytelling, Arpke aims to create resonant conservation content. As a part of the local naturalist community, Arpke strives to make as much time for volunteer work as he does for his own wildlife photo pursuits. He is a current board member for Humboldt Park Friends, an avid eBirder, and iNaturalist observer.
His films and music videos have been screened globally. He is currently working on a feature-length documentary surrounding the world of paleontology and is the recipient of back-to-back grants from Milwaukee Film’s Brico Forward Fund. A graduate of UW-Milwaukee’s Film, Video, and New Genres Department, Kyle remains ambitious as he pursues advertising, filmmaking, and wildlife photography work.
When Kyle is not working on films, photos, or naturalist opportunities he enjoys spending time with his wife Jessica, nerding out on Star Wars, watching sports, and playing tabletop games. A self-described lifelong learner, Kyle loves meeting new people and taking virtual classes.
